I am having trouble finding a hockey stick that suits me. Brands that I think I like are Easton, Nike, and Warrior. I really do not know what different blades are good for, or what different flexes do. So if you could give me a little help, i would much appreciate it

I told my parents, (im 18 by the way) that i am thinking of sometime this month going to see a hockey game. Well my parents turned to me and asked with who? (knowing that none of my friends are hockey fans). So i said probably just me to relax and enjoy the game. Well then they said im not going and that it is stupid to go by myself.
So my question is how many of you guys go to a game every once and while by yourself. Do you think its stupid?
